Under the Hood: The Architecture of Table Markdown Generator
Same engine as the table maker: a local GFM pipe emitter. The generator intent is “I have TSV/CSV in the clipboard.” Paste mode parses tabs or pipes into the grid, then emits markdown. Still no server-side table store.
Memory Allocation & Browser Threading Mechanics
parseTabular splits lines then cells. The resulting matrix replaces the grid in one setState. Memory is O(cells).
Algorithmic Deep-Dive: Code Snippet & Logical Analysis
function parseTabular(text) {
const lines = text.trim().split(/\r?\n/);
return lines.map((line) =>
line.includes("\t") ? line.split("\t") : line.split("|").filter(Boolean).map((c) => c.trim())
);
}Tab-separated wins if a tab exists on the line; otherwise pipe-split with empty edge cells dropped. Uneven rows are padded later by the visual grid. This is a generator for README tables, not a full CSV RFC 4180 parser—use the CSV editor for quoted commas.
The Local Storage Sandbox & Volatile Data Pipelines
Paste buffer is a textarea string. Output markdown is derived. Nothing persisted.
Verifying True Privacy: How to Audit Your Browser's Network Tab
F12, Network, clear, paste a unique TSV, generate. Confirm no upload of the table.
